The "dog bone" syndrom
|
Have you noticed that sometimes the text is missing at the top or bottom of a marker sleeve when printing markers in the SP1, SP2000, MK8 or MK9? Then you probably have come in contact with what we call the Dog bone syndrome.
This occurs when the profile has no room to expand in when it is flattened. When it happens you are probably using larger profile sizes. It is not easy to explain this syndrome, but the walls collapse at the top and the bottom of the marker due to pressure. (See picture). Then you will get a smaller area that can be printed.
Solution: Use a smaller font size that fits in the area that is possible to print on |
