PF sheets and laser printers
|
We will now give you the answers to some common problems that can occur when you print PF sheets on a laser printer.
Is the text blurred or is the sheet dirty when it comes out of the printer?
Solution: This problem may occur when you do not use out of an original toner in laser printer. Refill toner or other less expensive toner release sometimes too much carbon powder and then you will get a poor printing result. Our tip is that always use the original toner from the manufacturer.
Is the text printed in the wrong place on the sheet?
Solution 1: Make sure that you have removed the tractor feed on the sheet. Only tear off the part with holes in it (the grey area on the picture below), the second section that includes our logo etc. is needed to position the text correctly on the sheet.

Solution 2: If the text alone is a little to high or low, or a little to the left or right. You can adjust this in the window you get before the printing starts.
Example
If you put in 5 in the height box it will adjust the printing area 5 points down. If you put in -5 it will move the printing area 5 steps upwards. A 5 in the other box will move the printing area 5 steps to the right and -5 will move it 5 steps to the left.
Once you have entered a value you can click on the "RUN" button. Print on plain paper and then lay it on the PF sheet. Hold it up against a lamp or something similar and see if the text is printed where a label is. If not, then you need to enter a new value in WinSign. If the text is within the label, click on "SAVE VALUE" in WinSign. Now the sheets will always be printed with your new value until you change it again.
